LEGENDARY Caribbean comedy series that raised us: • Desmond’s (that UK barbershop gold with an all-Caribbean cast) • Lenny Henry in Pieces (the Jamaican characters had us rolling!) • Oliver Samuels at Large (the undisputed KING of Caribbean stage & screen comedy) We grew up quoting these shows every Christmas, every family lime, every holiday season… but let’s keep it real in 2025: we’re still recycling the same classics on repeat like it’s 1995! 😂 The world is STRESSFUL. Work tough, bills tougher, news even worse. We deserve a proper mental health break the kind that only a full 22-minute episode of family comedy with a lil’ drama can give. Not just 60-second TikTok skits (those are fire, but they ain’t it for family bonding time). So my big question to the culture in this video: Who’s carrying the torch in 2025? Where is the NEW Caribbean family sitcom that the kids, aunties, and grandmas can all scream-laugh at together? We need that living room full energy again! It’s time for producers, streaming platforms, and creators to give us the next generational classic. No more “remember when” let’s make NEW memories this Christmas and beyond.
