Remains of former Zambian President, Edgar Chagwa Lungu, to be repatriated

The mortal remains of former President of the Republic of Zambia, Edgar Chagwa Lungu, will be repatriated on Wednesday, according to a statement by the Department of International Relations and Cooperation. Edgar Lungu, who led Zambia from 2015 to 2021, died 11 days ago in South Africa where he was receiving medical treatment. The days of mourning have also been extended to 23 June.
