Japanese rally driver Takamoto Katsuta claimed his maiden World Rally Championship victory at the 2026 Safari Rally Kenya, partnering co-driver Aaron Johnston in a Toyota Gazoo Racing car.The emotional victory, his first after years of near-misses, moved teammates and rival crews to tears on the podium. It also extended Toyota’s unbeaten run at the Safari Rally since 2021.
