Uganda Election Results 2026: Museveni Wins Seventh Term as Bobi Wine Rejects Outcome.

Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has been declared the winner of the 2026 presidential election, securing a seventh term with over 71% of the total votes cast, according to the Electoral Commission. His main challenger, Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, finished second with about 24%. However, Bobi Wine rejected the results, citing lack of transparency and calling for the online publication of detailed results. The election was marked by controversy, including an internet shutdown, heavy military deployment, alleged abductions of polling agents, and reports of violence. Museveni’s victory further extends his tenure as one of Africa’s longest-serving leaders.
