Senegal’s Train Express Regional (TER) has transformed daily commuting, cutting travel from 2 hours to 40 minutes while reducing road traffic and pollution. Transporting over 55 million passengers, TE has saved 150,000+ tons of CO2, implemented sustainable waste management, and is set to expand to the international airport by mid‑2025.
