As Uganda pursues its ambitious economic growth agenda, attention is shifting toward how entrepreneurs can create more value from locally available raw materials. At the UG Catalyst Summit, business leaders emphasized the need to move beyond exporting raw products toward value addition, packaging, processing, and global market competitiveness. From honey production to manufacturing and digital innovation, the discussion highlighted untapped opportunities within Uganda’s economy. Experts also stressed that while financing remains important, long-term growth will depend on innovation, infrastructure development, and the ability of Ugandan businesses to compete regionally and globally.
