Mukono South Elects 25 Year Old Robert Maseruka as Member Of Parliament, Uganda.

Robert Maseruka, born in 2000, has been elected Member of Parliament for Mukono South, marking a significant youth-driven shift in Uganda’s political landscape. Rooted in a long history of student leadership and public service, Maseruka rose from school leadership roles to becoming the 89th Guild President at Makerere University. Despite financial constraints and skepticism about his age, his campaign focused on service delivery, youth empowerment, education, healthcare, infrastructure, and employment. His message resonated across both rural and urban voters, earning him 19,621 votes. Maseruka’s victory reflects growing public demand for inclusive leadership, accountability, and a stronger voice for young people in governance.
