From sovereign artificial intelligence and locally built flight simulators to smart mobility solutions and electronics manufacturing, Ugandan innovators are proving that world-class technologies can be developed at home. Showcased during the National Science and Innovation Week, these breakthroughs highlight the country’s growing confidence in homegrown solutions. Yet, innovators say greater public awareness, stronger government support, and a commitment to the Buy Uganda, Build Uganda agenda will be essential to turning innovation into economic growth and lasting impact.
