Africa has entered a new era in space. On April 11th, 2026, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched the Clim Cam a 3.5kg AI-powered climate camera built jointly by Kenya, Egypt, and Uganda, to the International Space Station. By August 2026, it will begin delivering real-time AI-processed climate intelligence covering flood detection, drought mapping, and crop stress across East Africa. What makes this mission truly historic is not just the technology, but the collaboration.
