Uganda Drove an Electric Bus 13,000km to Cape Town South Africa and Back.

Uganda’s Kira Motors Corporation made history when its locally built Kayola Eco Coach, designed at Makerere University and manufactured in Jinja, completed a 13,700km electric expedition from Kampala to Cape Town and back, crossing six countries in 39 days with zero mechanical failures. The bus delivered 500km on a single charge across real African roads, secured 450 confirmed bus orders from South Africa, and prevented over 2,270kg of carbon emissions.
