During Uganda’s COVID-19 lockdown, 21-year-old Makerere University student Lukari Masi turned a mask-selling hustle into Lukari Diaries, now one of Uganda’s most promising milk aggregation enterprises. Starting with a rented cooler and a single motorcycle, he built a network of 10 milk collection plants across five districts, serving over 1,000 farmers and bulking 20,000 litres of milk daily. His key clients include leading dairy companies like Jesa, making him a vital link in Uganda’s national dairy value chain.
